AUTUMN ALREADY {LOOKING BACK}

Autumn is a time for us all to be gentler on ourselves. I use the excuse of these cooler days and darker evenings to stay at home, pamper myself and do all those things I was too busy to do in the summer. Well, this is not the season when we spend more time at home yet, but it´s at the end of summer when I´m feeling quite fed up with those long days, those hot evenings which make you sweat a lot, and the disorganitation summer brings you. I always welcome Autumn days with a different mood.

In the first days of this season, life starts to move indoors for me. Still, there are several things I love to do like run towards my home to take the camera and admire the landscape and the wild waves while taking some pictures. Whenever this happens, the view is breathtaking.

But I also look back to those things I´ve done during the summer, and those places I´ve visited, and that brings a broad smile to my face.

Long walks in the south of Spain.

Enjoying being a tourist here and abroad, enjoying beaches where as the afternoon went on, people gradualy started dissapearing. The tide came slowly up and the sun began to set. I´ve also enjoyed quite a few lovely and peaceful sunsets. Beaches then, empty of people, became a silent place again.

I visited the Parthenon, where I found more beauty and more history and splendor than in a storybook. That´s when I fell in love with the country. Well actually I don´t remember when that happened because it wasn´t planned.

I´ve eaten tsakziki and I´m not fed up of it yet. I have to make it to remember, I love to remember.

I grew tomatoes and ate them. ( I have to improve this, I mean growing them, not eating them)

I got flowers one day.

And another day I found hidden treasures.

Watched the fireworks from the beach.

Went to Pasajes San Juan (a small village close to where I live), to enjoy some fresh sardines with my friends.

And basically didn´t spend much time at home. But now, the weather pushes me to turn on the oven, to start baking, to go on cooking. In the meantime, I love to adjust to the new season.

I´ve argued many times with people who keep on saying that Autumn and winter mean the death of everything, well I don´t agree with that because I think it´s the prelude to a new life which will come up again in Spring.
I´ll welcome Autumn not feeling blue. I´ll breath and smell the sea under grey skies because this is the way I like my city most.

DONE!
